Sea Storm - Monotype
An original monotype, printed on an antique etching press in my small studio in the Scottish Highlands. This is a unique print (1/1). The image was painted onto a metal plate before being transferred onto mould-made, cotton based paper. You can see the emboss around the edges where the metal plate pressed into the cotton-based paper with the pressure of the press.
The image was based on memories of the sometimes sea storms near my home in Ardelve. When the skies darken and the sea become tumultuous the atmosphere feels electrically charged.
The print is titled Sea Storm.
Mounted and ready to frame. Supplied in a clear cellophane wrap with a branded sticker on the front and details of the process on the reverse.
