About Lorraine

I am a transpersonal psychologist and visual artist based in the North West Highlands of Scotland. As a PhD research student at Abertay University, I am exploring how therapy and counselling can support people who are struggling to integrate intense spiritual and extraordinary experiences.

I research and write about creativity, non-ordinary states of consciousness, and the intersection of spirituality and psychology. If you are interested in these topics you can browse the articles or download my recent book, Crossing Thresholds.

My approach is systems-based and integrative. In addition to training in Internal Family Systems with IFS UK, I am a qualified hypnotherapist and have completed training in constellations and Clean Language (based on David Grove’s trauma-informed approach).
